The campaign analytics dashboard every creator should watch
Track the small set of metrics that explain launch health: source quality, pledge conversion, reward mix, refund risk, and support friction.
Focus on decisions, not dashboards
A useful dashboard tells the team what to do next. It does not need dozens of charts. Start with traffic source, conversion, pledge value, reward mix, email performance, and repeated support questions.
Metrics should connect to actions: change creative, clarify rewards, answer objections, adjust traffic, or update the page.
- Track visits, pledges, pledge value, and conversion by source.
- Watch reward mix and average pledge value.
- Collect repeated objections from comments and support.
Measure source quality
Not all traffic is equal. A source with fewer visits can be better if it brings higher pledge value or more qualified backers.
Use UTM links where possible and compare behavior after visitors land on the campaign.
- Compare pledge value by source.
- Watch bounce or low-intent traffic signals.
- Keep a note of placements that create comments or questions.
Read reward mix as product feedback
Reward selection tells the creator what backers value. If the expected best tier is weak, the pricing, bundle, or explanation may need work.
If a complex bundle performs poorly, consider simplifying future messaging instead of pushing it harder.
- Check which tier drives most pledge value.
- Review whether bundles increase or confuse decisions.
- Use reward mix to plan add-ons and production.
Connect data with comments
Numbers explain what is happening. Comments and support messages explain why. Use both before changing the campaign.
If conversion drops after traffic increases, the problem may be source quality. If many people ask the same question, the problem may be page clarity.
- Review data and comments in the same daily meeting.
- Log repeated objections by topic.
- Make one change at a time when possible.
